The development of digital media has significantly influenced the field of education, including practical training in cosmetology. Pinterest and TikTok have emerged as popular platforms among students for nail art references, as they offer a wide range of design inspirations and practical tutorials in an interactive, visual format. This study aims to analyze the use of Pinterest and TikTok as nail art reference sources to support student learning. A quantitative method with a descriptive-comparative approach was employed. The study involved 80 students from the Cosmetology Education Study Program (Class of 2022), selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected via a closed-ended questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale, based on indicators such as ease of finding references, creativity, ease of understanding tutorials, and support for practical learning. The data were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis. The results indicate that Pinterest achieved an average score of 87% (categorized as "very good"), while TikTok achieved an average score of 91% (also "very good"). For Pinterest, the highest-rated indicator was the ease of finding references (88%); for TikTok, the highest-rated indicators were the ease of finding references (95%) and creativity (94%). These findings demonstrate that TikTok received higher ratings than Pinterest regarding ease of finding references, creativity, and support for practical nail art learning. The study concludes that both Pinterest and TikTok are perceived as highly beneficial digital learning resources for nail art, with TikTok receiving a more positive assessment than Pinterest.
