This study aims to develop "BU SUSI" (Student Pocketbook) learning media for map-reading lessons for fifth-grade elementary school students and to describe its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which encompasses the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Tunge 1. Research instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results indicate that the media achieved a validity level of 93.3%, falling into the "highly valid" category. Regarding practicality, the media scored 93.7% in the limited trial and 94.4% in the extensive trial, while teacher responses reached 96%, placing it in the "highly practical" category. The media's effectiveness was demonstrated by classical learning mastery rates of 87.5% and 88.89%, as well as N-Gain scores of 0.47 and 0.58, both falling within the medium category. Thus, the BU SUSI media is suitable for use as a learning tool for map-reading lessons in elementary schools.
